Towersey Festival kicks off in just THREE WEEKS time with a performance by the legendary Blockheads (Thu 22 Aug 2013)!

Following them over the long weekend are The Unthanks, Show Of Hands, Home Service, featuring War Horse composer John Tams, and Swiss cajun punk trio Mama Rosin, before concluding on Bank Holiday Monday (Mon 26 Aug 2013) with two bound-to-be-rollicking appearances from Bellowhead’sSpiers and Boden!

In what can only be described as a packed programme, the popular festival boasts over 200 events across 10 venues. And that doesn’t include all the random, rolling, spontaneous performances and happenings that will be spilling out into The Showground. Or the Children’s Festival events!

Towersey Festival’s Children’s Festival

Renowned for being family friendly (and with under 5s free), the 49th Towersey Festival has over 70 activities for the young across five dedicated areas. There’s everything from pottery and circus skills, to special singing workshops with Australia’s Spooky Men’s Chorale.

Plus a teddy hospital, bedtime stories, and a family variety night hosted by singer songwriter Gavin Osborn (perhaps best known for his team-ups with Daniel Kitson and Radio 4 series Alun Cochrune’s Fun House).

Towersey Festival runs from Thursday 22 to Monday 26 August 2013 at Towersey village, Oxfordshire. In easy reach of London, Birmingham and Oxford, day tickets begin at £10, with full five-day festival tickets from £55. Under 5’s free. Camping and concessions available. Discounts for Towersey and Thame residents. A limited number of advance tickets are available…
