Choir is back for troops this Christmas

One of the City’s oldest and most distinguished musical groups will be bringing Christmas cheer to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham again this year.

On Thursday 19th December 2013 the Birmingham Bach Choir will return to sing a variety of well loved Christmas carols and festive favourites.

Carol sheets will be provided, enabling the audience to join in too, should they wish.

Though free the performance, which takes place in the grand hospital Atrium from 6.30pm, will be accompanied by a collection in aid of the charity’s work with injured service personnel and their families.

Mike Hammond, chief executive of the QEHB Charity, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming the hugely popular Birmingham Bach Choir to the hospital again this year.

“We very much appreciate the choir members giving up their time to support wounded soldiers being cared for here at the hospital. Please come and enjoy some wonderful festive music performed by one of Birmingham’s best choirs and support our troops this Christmas.”
