– Final line-up for The Glee’s old premises announced

Oxford’s The Glee concludes its six year run at Hythe Bridge Street on Saturday 29 October 2016 with appearances from Carl Donnelly, Oxfordshire’s Andrew Bird, and Pierre Novellie.
The two-times Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated Carl Donnelly has appeared on such TV series as Mock The Week and Russell Howard’s Good News, and hosts a popular comedy podcast with fellow comedian Chris Martin (with over 160 episodes).
Born in South Africa, Pierre Novellie is a former member of the famed Cambridge Footlights troupe whose recent Edinburgh Fringe solo show, Cool Peter, saw the comic explore what it takes to be considered ‘cool’.
A writer for 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Mock The Week, Andrew Bird is based in Oxfordshire and has performed at the club many times.
“The Oxford Glee is always a great night – it’s a good room and is how a proper comedy club should be,” says Andrew, adding: “And I’m not just saying that because it’s 20 minutes from my door.”
Opened in 2010, the Hythe Bridge Street comedy club is closing to make way for major redevelopments to the area. But fear not, The Glee will be back in January 2017 at Oxford’s The Bullingdon, on the Cowley Road. More information on the much anticipated move, including details of forthcoming shows, will be available shortly.
