Second Cardiff Glee date for Russell Kane

Russell Kane: Right Man, Wrong Age

Russell Kane: Right Man, Wrong Age

21 & 22 June 2017, The Glee Club, Cardiff
– Second date added due to demand –

Russell Kane has finally completed puberty. It turns out, that whichever age you are (or pretending to be), getting older doesn’t help you mature. Yet, Russell has at last found his reason to grow up, and it’s one of the biggest. It’s time to comb his hair – and act like a man. Well a bit, anyway…

Following a sold-out 2016 tour Russell Kane brings his critically acclaimed show Right Man, Wrong Age show to Cardiff’s Glee Club (21 & 22 June 2017).

Russell will be unleashing yet another blisteringly funny stand-up performance about growing up, growing down, and why farts will always be funny.

“In the last year I’ve been married and had a baby. I’ve changed my hair, I’ve changed my look, I’ve thrown all my eyeliner in the bin,” says Russell, who was last visited the Cardiff Bay venue in 2015. “I literally went to my wardrobe one day and got all my ridiculous clothes and took them to the Sue Ryder shop for some other man having a midlife crisis then bought the four exact same suits in different colours from Topman. Then I got my hair as flat as it can go and I thought, ‘that’s it: this is me now’.”

Multi-award winning comedian, presenter, actor, author and scriptwriter Russell Kane is best known as the star of BBC3’s Stupid Man, Smart Phone and host of three series of BBC3’s Live At The Electric.

He’s also appeared on BBC’s Live At The Apollo, Children In Need (BBC1), Question Time (BBC1), Unzipped (BBC3), ITV2’s Celebrity Juice, and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Now!

In February 2017, Russell took part in The Red Nose Convoy for Comic Relief, travelling from Kenya to Uganda delivering crucial supplies and seeing first-hand how money raised is changing lives. A documentary of the trip was shown on BBC1 in March and helped raise further funds for the charity.

Russell – who also co-hosts The Saturday Show on Virgin Radio with Angela Scanlon – was nominated four times for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award before winning ‘Best Show’ in 2010.  He then went onto make history as the first comedian to win both the Edinburgh Comedy Award and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Barry Award in one year.

Russell Kane appears at The Glee Club, Cardiff, on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 June 2017. Tickets available now from Office: 0871 472 0400 or www.glee.co.uk
