Festival: Towersey Festival

Location: Thame, Oxfordshire

Headliners: The Shires, The Proclaimers, Richard Thompson Electric Trio, Beth Orton, Big Country (acoustic), Fisherman’s Friends.
Other Acts Appearing: Sharon Shannon, Wildwood Kin, Daphne’s Flight, Martyn Joseph, Brighouse & Rastrick Band, Peter Knight & John Spiers, Imar, Blair Dunlop, Lady Maisery, WahWah45 present The Honeyfeet and Soothsayers.
USP: Established in 1965, Towersey is one of the longest continually running independent music festivals in the UK, and is still run by the same family who set it up over 50 years ago!
Notes: Massively popular with families, the festival prides itself in its family offer, with dedicated events and activities for younger festival-goers via the All About Children strand (for 5-11yrs) and Youth Festival programme (for young adults). There’s even a Tots Tent for the under 5s.
Towersey boasts one of the biggest dance/ ceilidh programmes on the festival circuit with over 48hrs of dance in the Festival Dance House (FDH).
Over 100 acts will be performing at the festival.
