Birmingham Comedy Festival has announced a second date for their Very Best Of Laurel and Hardy screening at Stourbridge Town Hall.
The new date is Sunday 12 May 2019, and follows the previously announced Sunday 7 April, which swiftly sold out.
The programme features three classic Laurel and Hardy films: the silent The Finishing Touch, the Oscar-winning The Music Box, and ‘feature-length’ Sons Of The Desert.
The matinee will be hosted by John Ullah, Grand Sheik of The Laughing Gravy Tent (the Birmingham branch of the Laurel and Hardy Appreciation Society).
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 22 February 2019.
A spokesperson for the festival said: “It’s great to see so many people rediscovering the genius of Stan and Ollie. Their unique brand of slapstick humour appeals to young and old, and while these films may be nearly 80 years old, the duo’s comic timing is some of the best you’ll ever see.”
