NeuNoir’s debut production set for major festival appearance.
NeuNoir’s debut production, Carnacki The Ghost Finder – The Horse Of The Invisible, is set to return as part of a major UK literary festival.
The production is the official opening live performance at the UK Ghost Story Festival, at the Museum of Making, in Derby, on Thursday 16 February 2023.
Carnacki The Ghost Finder is author William Hope Hodgson’s most famous creation – an early 20th century ghost hunter who employs both occult and scientific practices in his thrilling investigations into the supernatural.
The Horse Of The Invisible was written in 1912 – six years before Hodgson’s death – and finds Thomas Carnacki delving into the troubling case of young woman terrorised by a spectral steed that’s reportedly haunted her family for generations.
The UK Ghost Story Festival runs from Wednesday 15 to Sunday 19 February 2023 (with the first day’s activities taking place online).
Featuring readings, panels, interviews, workshops, talks and more, guests include Camilla Bruce, CJ Cooke, Amanda Mason, Alison Moore, Michelle Paver, Laura Purcell, Dan Schreiber, Emma Stonex, and Stephen Volk.
Tickets to NeuNoir’s Carnacki, which is read by Richard Usher, are £10 (or as part of a Complete Pass, £100).
