The award-winning Irish musician, real name Peter Wilson, has been releasing albums to great critical acclaim since 2005.

Among his numerous projects are a soundtrack to a photographic exhibition at New York’s  Metropolitan Museum of Art and a production of Bertolt Brecht’s Mother Courage and Her Children at the National Theatre, London.

Dan has been a long admirer of the artist, telling Brum Notes Magazine: “Peter possesses everything I am looking for in a singer songwriter. He writes open-hearted, emotional lyrics, and his vocal delivery and musical arrangements are expressive and punctuate the songs with ground-shakin’, needle-point accuracy. He does that thing of peppering his songs with humour too. On top of that writing ability, he can really play that damn piano.”

Dan’s soon to be released second album, Reaching For A State Of Mind, features percussionist Chip Bailey, who is also a member of Duke Special’s band.

“[Music promoter] Markus Sargeant introduced me to Chip when he moved to Birmingham in 2009. We started playing together, doing community music and recording projects and I’m honoured to say we became friends. Chip introduced me to Peter Wilson when he played the Hare and Hounds earlier this year,” continued Dan.
